Cardiff City South hotel

The price is reasonable, the hygiene is good, and I will stay here again. If the coffee for breakfast is my favorite. It would be better if there could be air conditioning in summer.

The hotel itself was not bad, although check-in was very slow and the hotel is due an update and refit. The worst part was the littered carpark and the restaurant adjoining the hotel, uncleared tables uncleaned tables rats running around the garden and tables outside, dirty cleaning equipment left in the food prep areas, indifferent and unmotivated staff and a terrible breakfast experience. It was one of the worst places I have eaten in Europe.

Don't be lured by the price... A dirty, tired hotel. Basic amenities don't work. No air-con so even in gentle temperatures the rooms are painfully hot - we asked for an extra fan and had a broken fan left in our room. There are so many better hotels in Cardiff. This one isnt worth the discomfort.

Unfortunately, we didn’t book the room under our own name, but I still wanted to recognise the excellent service we received at Premier Inn Cardiff South. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist gave us such a warm welcome and was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful during check-in. Our room was exceptionally fresh and clean. The bed looked so comfortable that we couldn’t wait to climb in, and the bathroom smelled beautifully clean and fresh. Even the mirror was spotless, showing the attention to detail throughout the room. A special thank you to Natasha, who I believe prepared our room. She left a lovely welcome message on the bed along with a little treat, which was a thoughtful touch and made our stay feel even more special. Overall, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Premier Inn Cardiff South to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

This is a conveniently sited and inexpensive Premier Inn. It is just a 20 minute walk to the city centre and car parking is good. We have stayed here many times before. BUT, this time the room was unbearably hot. There is no air conditioning and the fans provided no respite. Room temperature was constantly 29c. Neither of us slept well due to the heat. We would stay again but not in the summer months.
